Friday May 29th 2009

Met up with Sylvia today for a bit of a catch up. We had peking duck for lunch from Shanghai (no pictures). We were starved so we didn't bother snapping up pics of it haha but it was good! Shanghai on Victoria Ave isn't the fanciest looking place nor the prettiest sight you've laid eyes on but their food is good ... well good enough to leave an impression on my stomuch and taste buds. Must go back for their pepper and salt calamari mmmm.

Sylvia and I just spent most of the day playing Sims 2, then lunch then a bit of shopping and then back to my place to play a bit more Sims 2 before dropping her home. She got into Sims 2 after having a go at creating a sim of herself last year sometime but since she didn't have a computer at home, she never got around to playing it. She's been given a computer from a relative of hers and she's keen to play it hehe. I am so glad that I found all my old Sims directory with all my old saved games in it. I thought I had lost them for good when I got my computer reformatted.
Sylvia is too sweet. Everytime we catch up every few weeks, she always has something to give me. This time is Lush goodies and a pack of macadamia and white choc cookies that I quickly gobbled up.

The almond and coconut shower smoothie has a very light smell of almond. Not so much coconut I don't think. I'm not a big fan of these. I've tried their shower jelly things and those were not fun to use in the shower at all! I will give it a try though. Says to slather some on, rinse and dry. Sounds easy enough. She also got me a bar of the 'I Should Coco' soap. I've never really liked this one much so I'm not gonna open it. I know it's the pink one with the coconut flakes on top.

So um, I'm pretty sure it's obvious that I'm a cheap arse. Doesn't help that I don't have a full time job and bum most of the time though I claim that I'm 'busy'. pffft. Went around for a bit of shopping and bought these 2 pearl headbands for ... AUD4.00 each! I saw them last time for AUD14.00 each so I passed. Went back today and they were down to AUD4.00!

They had them in several colors, red ... black ... green but bought these two because they're wearable. I only ever use headbands to get hair out of my face during work and to wash my face but these are so pretty and surprisingly comfortable. They haven't given me a headache and I don't even feel them on my head. I snatched these plastic stud earrings up the moment I saw them also AUD4.00! They also come in red and in white but the white had too many sparkles.

I think I've already said this, but I don't suit dangly earrings, they just don't look right or belong on my ears. Not pretty. Hoops look ok but I always tend to go for the stud-type earrings. Helps that they don't get caught on clothing and in my hair like the dangly earrings do.

Here is my small collection. These are the ones I usually wear out if I do wear earrings.

Most if not all were bought on sale for no more than AUD4.00 each haha. Lucky for Jun I'm not a 24k-gold-diamonds-tiffany-&-co girl. Sif' he could afford it anyway lawls. SIF!

I've noticed I have quiet a few bits and odds of pieces of jewellry that are missing or broken a pair. That's what I get for being a tightass and buying cheap plastic or fancy(fake) jewellry. I wish I knew how to put them all on a charm bracelet or pendant so I can wear them all.

There's a new charms shop in Westfield called Thomas Sabo up on the 5th level that we went passed today. They sell real cute charms for bracelets. Most of their range are fairly priced. One that caught my eye was this bird's cage:

So cute it has a yellow bird inside! Hmmm when I was younger, mum wouldn't let me wear gold jewellry because she said I was too young and didn't/wouldn't suit me. Funny coz I'm older now and gold STILL doesn't suit me! I see some girls wearing gold and they suit it! Like I wear small gold sleeper earrings/mini hoops for work sometimes only cos my ears get infected with wearing fancy/fake jewellry. I have two hole piercings on each lobes and hate that they get filled with that crappy stuff when they get infected. I'm surprised one hasn't closed yet, I keep poking it with an earring every few days since I don't wear earrings everyday.

There's a new G-Star store opening in Chatty yay! I still regret buying a pair of TR jeans years back. G-Star are so much nicer in material and fitting and they don't cost as much as TR.

G-Star Royce Miner Skinny AUD269.99:

My cheap alternative: Denim leggings AUD35.00 Suspenders AUD10.00 Total = AUD45.00 Beat that G-Star!

( yeah I'm on the chubbier side)

On a more serious note, my godfather Uncle George passed away last Thursday at the age of 86. We unfortunately were not able to be with him because he had moved to Queensland sometime last year to live with his daughters because he was getting frail and was not able to take care of himself as well as he used to anymore. So this is what our Christmas usually looks like every year unless we go to The Phils. Small but humble.

That was the last Christmas we spent with him back in 2007 (I'm not in it because I was the one that took the pic).

I don't have family here in Australia cept for one cousin (dad's side. Whom we hardly know). I grew up around Uncle George so I've always considered him family. I'm very saddened because we were told he very much wanted to go because he was just not as independant with caring for himself anymore and he also suffered from emphysema so in a way I couldn't be selfish and want him to suffer anymore than he already did. And I know no one is supposed to stay on this earth forever but I don't take loss of someone dear easily. That's life. Gosh this post ended up longer than I expected.

Enjoy your weekend!

"Going Gaga over P****" + hair update! (long-winded post)

As C mentioned the title of the concert was on their website at work haha. I went to the Pussycat Dolls concert with C this weekend (Saturday evening) at the Acer arena in Homebush Olympic Park. I could not turn this opportunity down because I originally really wanted to go when I heard about it but luckily C just offered me these tix just a few days before. Funny thing is I was keen to go and see PCD perform but Lady Gaga's performance just blew me off entirely. She was brilliant! I loved how there was so much effort put into her part. She sang live, danced and oh my goodness I wish I was closer so I could've taken pics of her outfit. For the 'Pokerface' 'acoustic part, she came out blowing bubbles to the audience wearing a skin colored leotard that made her look naked and she had this bubbles sash that she wore across her chest. She played on the piano that also had plastic bubbles covering it. I didn't get that part because I already recorded parts of her songs and wanted to save some memory for the PCD hehe. I was just so overwhelmed, the PCD part was just 'meh' Lady Gaga's voice and energys is just WOW! I am definately going to go to her concert when and if she comes down to Australia again. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of HER. I've always enjoyed listening and dancing to her songs but her perfomance live was just OUTSTANDING. I haven't been to many live concerts in my life but her 30 minutes part was the best of them all. Even better than Destiny's Child concert that my friends and I attended back in high school and that was almost 10 years ago haha.

Random pics:
Our seats were so far back we had no idea these were the seats that were given to us but I was just glad I was there. Here is a short 2 min snippet of Lady Gaga's 'Lovegame' performance. It's so hard to see but you can hear how good and how strong her voice is even from the very back of the stadium.

video

Lady Gaga pwned the effin' stage!
You can hear C laughing in the background because we were getting butterflies in our stomachs from the height of where we were sitting. It was frikkin scary way up there and we are both scared of heights LOL! But we made the most of it. Funniest thing of the night was there was around a dozen Thai lady 'men' seated opposite of us one even had a real boyfriend. They were dancing and man-squeeling everytime the male dancers would dance and take off their shirts for the crowd lol. My shitty camera couldn't take better pics or videos :( They had 3 girls from the crowd get up on stage to do the 'Bottle Pop' dance and whoever did it the skankiest won a t-shirt. The first one bent over too much and showed the whole crowd her knickers and what else she ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner, one needed a sandwich chucked at her head because she looked so skinny almost anorexic; and one was wearing a tie-dyed dress with a leather vest over it and sported some leather fingerless gloves. Yes, I'm mean but I'm joking! But I think what caught my attention was how young most of the crowd is that came to watch PCD. That really showed who their fans were ... and then there was me - probably more than a decade older than most of them haha sad. Quiet a few young girls no more than 10 years old with make up on their faces I'd assume were put on by their older sisters. Now I can kinda see why they made a big 'hoohaa' about PCD's song 'When I grow up' and debating whether they say 'boobies' or 'groupies'. I still love Pussycat Dolls! Here's them performing 'Buttons'. Don't mind the comments in the background, we don't know what we're talking about. I caught C commenting on Melody's face make up being too dark to the rest of her body. Well, better than the opposite I think.

video

Geez louise, listening to us two oldies talking(bickering) between each other, we sound like a pair of old hags lol. I said to C; "Gonna put it up on YT, they're gonna see what a racist you are" jk. So really, Gaga ended up stealing the show. PCD was missing a member. I believe it was Jessica - the redhead because apparantly she had hurt her back. Melody's voice was more horrible live (I'm sorry Melody fans, but it's the truth). Can't imagine how the other two blonde's voice would've been liked. Wait, I've never heard them sing. Ok enough bashing, I just enjoyed seeing Nicole Scherzinger in the flesh. She is absolutely gorgeous and sexy even from a girl's POV! I dunno if they sang 'Jae Ho' since we didn't stay for the encore. We thought they were done since they were saying their goodbyes and thank you Sydney's and quiet a few of the crowd started to leave as well. We left even before PCD's encore because we didn't wanna get caught in the crowd traffic. It was funny on the way to the Olympic park because we .. I mean I got lost, ended up at DFO, made a wrong turn and ended back up at Concord and went down Homebush Bay drive. Took us a whole frikkin hour to get there when it should've taken us only less than 30 minutes haha. Told you I don't have any sense of direction. Lucky we left 2 hours early so we had plenty of time. Parking was quick because C had a staff pass to get us $5 parking! Saved us $25. Awesome ... After the show, picked up Jun on the way at Chatty and headed to Dock's @ Darling Harbour for Aileen's. Good night for us since we made it in time for free entrance. Saved as $40! I only had one drink for the whole night being the sensible designated driver and all and left at 1am. Only stayed for like 2 hours. I was having an uncomfortable night because I was wearing 1D Acuvue moist and they were itching my eyes like crazy. On top of that, I was wearing fake lashes which I ended up ripping off my lids near the end of the night. I didn't notice until I got home that the glue had also removed my eyeliner and left a noticeable line haha. And then I walked out of the bathroom with a frikken toilet paper trailing under the heel of my boots haha. How embarrassing. With Donna and Miriam and Jun. Donna and I both sporting MAC 'Sea & Sky' on our lids =D Forgot to take pics of my eye make up but it turned out pretty good I reckon!

credits to Aileen and Miriam for the photos:

I dunno why I have a big fake ass smile I don't normally smile like this .. or smile in general haha.

I couldn't take many pics because well, I have a pov 250mb memory stick. Must remember to buy a bigger one!

I will snatch some from the others when they have em up.

So I wanted to try dying my hair a little lighter but it ended up horrible! I was just so eager and didn't think about how much hair I actually have and that it probably wasn't going to end up evenly throughout my hair especially at the back but went ahead anyway and now I know going lighter is definately not for me!

I decided to go for this particular color because it reads on the box that this is specifically for dark hair and it would work best for darkest brown to black and that it is a 'Luminous ash tone which will minimise yellow and orange tones'. I looked at the back and thought perfect! And since my hair is pitch black in color I thought it wouldn't go as light but will be a tinge lighter in color than what it shows on the back. Bought 2 boxes for AUD$28.00 and spent a bit more on the Elvive color protect shampoo and conditioner that is specially for colored hair and a few other stuff to qualify for the gift with purchase when you spend AUD45.00 or more on the L'oreal range' in Priceline.

No one can probably tell that I colored my hair in the above photos but that was after I colored it to darkest brown. Could probably tell it's lighten on the bottom parts out in the sun, just not in the shade or in the dark.

Added these photos. The natural hair color pic was taken Friday night and the pic on the right was just snapped a few minutes ago. Almost forgot to add that I colored the roots with L'oreal in 'Brasilia' Darkest brown.

Before and After:

Looking at the pictures, there isn't really a drastic change but I still think darker hair suits me more. Darker hair esp. black just looks alot more shinier to me and anything lighter looks a tad 'soft' in my opinion. Both C and Jun both said it's not a big change but they can tell I've done something to my hair.

L'oreal in UL3 pictures:

So umm look at the color of my hair especially at the top of my head. I don't see that shade anywhere on the box WTF. It looks close to the 'blonde' non-recommended shade LOL fail.

I think since that's the healthiest part of my hair, the color just seemed to penetrate alot easier than the body of my hair.

I was going to cry no joke. It was 7.30pm, had just finished drying my hair and was shocked at how gross it looked! I put on a beanie and went straight back down to the shops to Coles and grabbed the darkest brown(L'oreal Darkest brown) to put to the roots of my hair so it wouldn't be so harsh compared to the rest of my hair.

L'oreal in 3 Darkest Brown:

I was actually wanting to color my hair a red/brown color but wanted to lighten it to brown before doing so but I don't think I'll suit any shade lighter than my original color. I have 3 boxes of blue-black hair dye that I keep for back up for when I wanna color it but I will be using those probably sooner than expected. I just wanna give my hair some time to recover from all that coloring before coloring back to black.
That's definately taught me a lesson at coloring my hair lighter at home. Don't do it guys don't be dumb like me! Dunno if this seems normal to some ... but I have kept my (virginal) hair when I got a haircut at 12 years old. Making this piece 13 years old! Everyone thinks it's gross that I kept it. I have kept it in the same box with a small snippet of 2 horse's hair (I used to go horseriding for leisure when I was younger ). See how shiny my hair is compared to them. Note that my hair is naturally very black. It just looks a tinge brown because of the flash.

I took it because my mum and I noticed the hairdresser tieing it with an elastic band before carefully giving it the big snip as opposed to just snipping it all off and letting it fall all over the floor. I assumed they were going to take it and make it into a wig without telling me so mum and I requested to take it with us haha.

Hey, you never know when I get old and start to lose hair that I may need a wig. I'm just amazed that it's still in good condition, I may turn it into a real wig !

While I was at Priceline, they had a 20% off sale for L'oreal so I grabbed Elvive shampoo and conditioner which is I think is great for colored hair. I have used this for years when i had colored hair since I worked at RY chemist so that's like 10 years. I'm glad they haven't taken this off the market. I was so stupid, during highschool I colored my hair blue-black at a salon and used a 'cleansing everyday' shampoo and it stripped the color out of my hair and turned it purple! When using Elvive's color protect range, I can definately tell that it's different from a normal shampoo because the water runs clear and does not remove any color from my hair so I know that I'm not losing the color.

I bought 1 bottle of the Elvive's Re-Nutrition Night Elixir leave-in conditioner and liked it so much I went back today and got another and also since Jun is also using it.

In the past I had been using a leave in conditioner by Sunsilk or was it Pantene? I'm sure it's Sunsilk.. I got it during my trip to the Philippines and comes in a neon-color yellow/green bottle and it's pretty small, maybe 50mL. People in The Philippines will know which one it is! I don't have a picture and I can't find it online since it's pretty old. I think I chucked the bottle away since there was hardly any left. So what I really like about the L'oreal Elvive leave-in conditioner is the fact I don't have to leave it in and wait a few minutes before rinsing it out. I don't need to rinse this out, I basically slather 6 pumps of this all over my hair before going to bed and my hair is tangle free when I wake up and isn't so boufy I don't need to straighten it. I've only used it for 2 days, applying some on after washing my hair and before going to bed. Doesn't leave my hands or hair sticky before going to bed. It has a satin-feel and almost dries, or they say 'melts' into your hair almost instantly. My fave thing about it is it has royal jelly but smells like vanilla custard/honey =D Even works for Jun who has pube-like carpet hair haha.

Priceline also had 20% off most of their hair range so I grabbed a bottle of Bed Head's Chocolate Head. I knew I had a bottle of this at home somewhere but wasn't sure where it went or if I had any left. Got home to put my hair stuff away and yep, found one half empty at the very back of my bathroom cabinet. I just keep buying and pushing more and more garbage into my cabinet, the back ones get forgotten =/

Out of the bottle, it comes out almost clear. Has a slightly sticky feel and is seems oily but when I put it through my hair it's not as sticky and when I washed it out, it has a very very slight lathering to it when you rinse it out. Left my hair smelling like chocolate mmmm. It was reduced to AUD14.00 from around AUD20.00 at Priceline. It does leave my hair shiny and smooth after use but doesn't seem to stay like that for long. What I do love about Chocolate Head is the smell yummm smells like Moove chocolate milk!

I'll be using this once a week to try to give my hair as much moisture and nutrients back before coloring it to blue/black. I can't be using my usual Sunsilk intensive treatment because I know it'll strip the L'oreal Darkest brown shade off the top of my scalp and roots and expose that ugly hideous light orange crap.
NOTE: I've read on a few sites that Bed Head's Chocolate Head has been discontinued. So if you like this stuff, grab what you can at Priceline since that's the only place I've seen it lately.
I wanted to add that there's a new Asian restaurant that opened in LemonGrove called 'New Shanghai'. Many restaurants have opened there before them but never lasted more than a few months so I hope this place stays open for a while and maintains their quality.

Jun and I had dinner there last Monday when my tooth was aching so I ordered 'soft' dishes. I think they're more of a dumpling-specialised places because they have staff making them by hand in this glass case. Much like Din Tai Fung's dumplings where there's soup inside the dumpling. The prices I put on these are just 'approximates'. Forgot exactly how much we paid but they are decently priced and the food was good in serving and taste. I will definately be back. I was surprised at the large serving of the crab for that price. Notice the smaller bowl next to the crab soup? That's how big the serving usually is when I order some type of corn soup at an Asian restaurant and best part is, I could taste and 'distinguish' real crab in the soup! The rice cake was good. It had bits of pork throughout it and some veggies which made the rice cake noodle not as bland. I didn't finish it though, I took it home in a doggy-bag and ate it the next day which was not a good idea because it wasn't so tender and instead was hard and stuck to each other so I chucked it out! Best to eat it when it's freshly cooked. I hope more good restaurants open up around locally. I'm not really bothered to travel so far just for food especially when I'm hungry!

Enjoy!

Friday 22nd May 2009 update

My wisdom tooth started aching last Monday morning up until Tuesday arvo. I've been on panadeine forte everyday since and it's made me drowsy as hell. But atleast it doesn't hurt, only when I bite on something hard. I'm planning to get it out ASAP. Well atleast well before my trip because that'll just ruin the purpose of my holiday. And the Rose collection by MAC finally got released in Australia. I swatched the rose MSFs but they were sheer on me so I passed. I did particularly like the Fix+ with rose but I already use regular rosewater that I got from a chemist for only $4.50 for 200mls and it smells pretty much the same. I have to admit I have a girl crush on this Korean singer called Hyori Lee. Her songs aren't in English but they're quiet catchy. She has such a pretty smile and she's 30?! I love watching performers who can sing AND dance! I watched a mini interview of her that is english subbed and she is quiet funny. Talented, beautiful and funny?! /sigh

I'm trying my 1Day Acuvue moist contact lenses for this weekend. They haven't dried my eyes but I am finding them quiet itchy :(

And um the weather is pretty shit at the moment. Been raining. Dunno how my weekend is going to look.

Aileen's 26th @ Cargo pics

Photos from Aileen's princess picnic birthday at Cargo bar last Saturday and yes, she was surprised with the flower pot cake yay! I told her there were brownies underneath. She hesitantly grabs a fork and digs in and responds ''Oh there really are brownies underneath!" LOL. I knew she wouldn't believe me. She did look funny digging in pot soil and eating it haha.

More random shots. The sun was in my face the whole time grrr.

Yummy food and drinks they served:

I think it was a pretty good deal for $30 =)

Everyone with their cupcakes mmmm. I had to choose dark chocolate with mint cream but ditched the cream coz it tasted, felt and looked like toothpaste eww.

The cupcake menu Donna showed me on the way to Cargo bar. But I think these ones are different. The ones on the menu is from Babycakes by Renee (I think).

The macaroon display at the Lindt cafe in Darling Harbour. Couldn't help but snatched 5 of em, 3 of em being pistachio - my favourite!

And yes, I had to come home with some stuff toy I won at the arcade. This tooth cost me $19 to win! But it's extra special since I won it!

Update + DIY Flower Pot Cake

It's finally the weekend and I can relax and unwind. It's been a bit hectic at work with the changes so we're not having an easy week. So I hope you enjoy this post.

It's Aileen's 26th birthday tommorow and she's having it at Cargo bar. They host a 'princess picnic and I'm imagining it to be like 'high tea' but I hope this time round I actually get full from the food. No itty-bitty morsels.

I thought about what to give Aileen and had a look around the web for ideas and this is what I made from what I found:

It's a flower pot cake and thought it would go well with the whole theme of 'princess'. I hope she gets a surprise when she finds that it's edible.

The flyer Aileen sent on FB:

What you need:

Step by step:

Finished product!

And a cute 'princess' card to go along with it:

Found the idea off YT but substituted the ice-cream with chocolate brownies instead since Donna and I will be travelling to the city by bus and I don't want it to melt on the way. You can make this with virtually anything you want to put in!

Tagged along with Donna to the city Thursday night so she could buy a present for Aileen and we went to visit Eckersley's and I bought this plastic brush holder for only AUD4.50! I think mine is missing a leg :( I really like it because I can see all the brushes properly unlike the glass vase with the stone display and it fits all my brushes and still have a few spots for more! You can reassemble it into 4 pieces if you were to take it with you on travel. And it was super cheap I can get more.

Donna bought a gift pack from Lush and I didn't intend to buy anything but I've been eyeing (and smelling!) this one particular soap called 'Demon in the Dark'.

I thought it was an ugly looking soap the moment I saw it and never bothered to smell it but im glad I did because it smells sooo refreshing. It has mint, spearmint, peppermint and apple juice and the whole slab is covered with a black wax that you're supposed to take off before using it.

Who would have known this ugly ass soap would have such nice ingredients put in it. I got a slab 120g and I cannot stop sniffing it. I'm currently using it for handwash. A rest from the usual Pears liquid soap.

Almost forgot this. Also bought on Thursday at Victoria's Basement at QBE for only AUD30.00 and it usually retails for AUD80.00. Cheapest pasta machine I have come across so far!

This was from last week Sunday for Mother's Day. Mum and I went to Star City and ate at the buffet for lunch. The buffet opens at 10.30am and we got there around 11.45am and didn't get a table until 1.30pm! The line went for ages and there were sooo many people the average waiting time was 2 hours or more.

Happy Mother's Day mama!

After waiting almost an hour, I wanted to walk out of line and go somewhere to eat but when we got to the front, I realised they had a mother's day special for AUD43.50 all you can eat seafood which includes. crabs, scallops, oysters, calamari, baby octopus, salmon, prawns and I forgot what else. But I loved it and it was worth the wait! I think all mothers ate for free if they were sent a voucher in the mail so it was just me that paid.

I didn't include the dessert because I was too stuffed by that time haha. I really did make my money's worth and so did my mum. I ate a total of 4 crabs (I think they were spanner crabs because of the shape and the claws), half a dozen of oysters, a dozen scallops and heaps of other dishes . I would've ate more but I could not take anymore (for once!).

Lucky me, mum bought me mongosteens because she knows they're one of my most favourite fruits ever. Only 3 because they are so expensive! 3 for $5 ! In The Philippines, they sell this fruit for like $5 a kilo! If you have not tried these, I highly suggest you do! They look like passionfruit from the outside and feel hard but with a little pressure, they can be easily split open by hand. Mmmmm they were so succulent and juicy gimme more! nyummy!

Currently munching on:

The sunflower seeds coated with chocolate are so addictive and they were only AUD1.00 a pack and the Meiji chocolates are so delish. The dark chocolate version is alot yummier even though I'm more of a milk-chocolate person but they didn't have any dark choc left :(

Went to the Supacenta at Belrose sometime last week and found something random. This shower timer much like an egg timer LOL. So silly. I take as long as I want in the shower TYVM!

Enjoy your weekends!

Friday 8th May update + tag

I was supposed to publish this post 2 days ago but it was incomplete so now it's finished. I wanted to update to remind anyone that plays the Sims that Sims 3 is out in a month's time June 6th! Frikkin finally and I swear if they delay it for any longer I'm going to cry. No not really, just get mad. Game's policy is that if your preorder doesn't arrive on the due date, then the customer gets the game free! I've waited long enough, getting the game for free would just be icing on top, I'm sure I can hold it out for another 5 days more after the due date! My Revlon haul from Priceline today. Dunno how long this has been out on the market, but I only saw the whole collection today. It was buy 3 get the cheapest free so the lipstick was the cheapest. Now I'm thinking I should've gotten another eyeshadow instead oh well. I quiet like matte eyeshadows because they're wearable for everyday without looking like you have much make up on. Infact, I don't think anyone will notice I have make up on.

I wanted to get some matte make up because I don't do so well with with shimmer and glitter. It just gets all over my face and I look like a disco ball so this matte range is perfect.

I took a picture of the blush on my cheeks but it's hard to tell unless you see it in person so I ditched it. Can't get a decent pic of the color showing with my shitty camera.

Now if only my lips weren't as pigmented, this would show up better. I have an ugly habit of biting my lips!

Swatches on NC37 skintone:

Took a bit to get the colors to show on cam under different lighting but this was the best I could get them at.

But as you can see, they're all very subtle and light. I noticed I picked out the 'peachy' colors from each type of make up. I don't even know if I can get away with the whole 'peach look'.

The eyeshadow I think needs to have a good base because it just doesn't show up enough by itself, especially that the shade I got is neutral but I still like it. I may get a few of the other colors next time.

And I missed out on the postman! Grrr now I gotta wait til tommorow to pick up my Sportsgirl jumpsuit :(

***EDIT***

Picked it up from my local post office this morning(Thursday) before work. Inside the delivery bag that it came in, it was packed in this reusable bag:

And they added a freebie!

I would hate for any sharp bits to get caught on the material ie. my nails. But it's very comfy. Feels (and looks) like pajamas on me. Nice to pair it up with a light cardigan and either open toe heels to dress it up or flats for a casual look. It's like a foot longer so I will need to alter this if I wanna wear it with flats.

It doesn't look as flattering on me I just make them look like they're pajamas lol. But it's all about the comfort kk?

After work yesterday, I went to Westfield and saw these cake decoration displays from the Royal Easter Show from this year. I wonder if they're still edible since I assume they were made early April.

There was more but these were the ones I thought looked interesting especially the sewing box and the bathroom sink.

I would love to decorate cake like that. The community college in my area offers a cake decorating course :)

Update

I can't say I've been extremely busy but I've kept myself occupied for the sake of saving money and this lousy weather called Autumn. But looking at the stuff I've bought, I don't think that was the case =X

I had a real early night last night and by early I mean like 10pm? and I woke up 7am this morning, made a lousy breakfast then went back to bed at 10.30am woke up at midday then continued to have a lazy day for the rest of the day. I've been getting tired more easily lately. When I raid every Wednesday nights and onwards, I get so drowsy in my chair I take a few moments in between wipes to lay down on my bed but worry that I'll doze off. I should be seeing the doctor but I'm lazy - though, I work at a medical centre. Last time something similar like this happened, I found out I had glandular fever! But that wasn't since I was 15, so it's been almost 10 years WOW. Time does fly huh?
My first attempt at bedazzling up my phone. Was going to just bling it up all red since the phone's original case is red but thought it would be fun to add a simple design to it. I used an all-purpose glue but my friend suggested to usean epoxy adhesive that Bunnings sell but it's too late now =X
This is how I had it at first because I had ran out of red rhinestones and just wanted to complete it but wasn't happy with it.

Went back to Riot and found one last packet of red 12mm rhinestones and was able to complete it. Don't look too close coz it looks crappy! It has gaps in between because I used two different sized rhinestones because I couldn't find anymore of the larger clear one. Looks OK from afar. Now no one will know it's a shitty Nokia or will they ... shhhh.

I was down the road at the material shop looking for some material to make me some summer overalls to take to Philippines and also leather to make a bag because I want to try my hands on making a large leather bag (nothing fancy) for myself because I am tired of looking around for my perfect bag. I am going to attempt to make one until I can find one that I like.
I found some leather scraps for AUD20.00 in their reject pile and some rope for AUD5.00 for the handles. If I can make a leather bag for AUD25.00 then why not! Like I said, nothing fancy and I gotta wait until mum finishes with her sewing for her clients before I can have my turn on the sewing machine so it's gonna be a while.

Sewing was never really my thing even though I did design and tech throughout the whole of highschool up until the HSC. I must admit, I did cheat in one of my projects in year 9 ... got my mum to help me with it and scored 98% and of course I took credit for it LOL. I wanted to get the roll of cream-colored leather but it was AUD100.00 a roll! And at that price, I might as well pay a bit more and buy myself a bag.
Here's my dodgy pattern I quickly made out of newspaper to make sure I had enough leather and I do. Don't laugh! It's about the same size as most of my shoulder bags.

I based it on this:

Donna told me the shop Les Saisons sold a jumpsuit that's similar to the Sportsgirl one I was after. I went there this weekend to have a look but it's the same one as I already have.

I did however look at Sportsgirl's website and found the jumpsuit I was after from this post has gone on sale at 50% off! I had already looked into Sportsgirl on the weekend but they didn't have any left so I just placed an order for a size 8 online and it was the last one! I knew it was the last one because I tried placing an order for 2 and it only showed 1 for option. When I went back, it had 'sold out' right next to it after I placed my order. YAY!

Oh while I was at Les Saisons I bought this bag for AUD30.00 yes it's not real leather and I don't like the white stitching but it is massive! It looks more like an overnight bag. However, I don't like the gaps at either ends of the zippers. Stuff can easily fall out so I may stitch it up when I can be bothered.

Also bought a simple long black dress for AUD20.00(not pictured) It's a size 12 and massive on me but I tried it on and figured it's alterable (is that a word??). Mum is 'helping' me alter it (she's doing all the work LOL)

Went to Cotton On and bought these moccasins for inside the house for AUD10.00 they were down from AUD20.00. They're warm for winter. Excuse my gross vainy feet ewww!

Total damage of this week: A pair of shoes, a dress, a bag, some material and an outfit for just under AUD170.00. Oh and I forgot how much the rhinestones cost me. But looks like I won't be spending for a while ...

I may be busy this week due to work. There are some major changes that's just been implemented this week and we were only informed about this last Thursday. I have a feeling it's going to make my life more of a living hell then it already is /sadface.
