First MAC order + the forgotten

My MAC MSF order arrived Friday. Took just two days from the time I ordered until it arrived wooppee. Although, it's only in Roseberry which is like an hour or so drive (I think) from where I live. I've called every single MAC outlet in Sydney and they don't stock these anymore. Only place I saw them in stock was the MAC website so lucky for me I was able to get them before they completely run out.

OoOh my very first MAC online order in a 'pretty' black box ...

MAC MSF in medium dark/shimmer & dark/shimmer:

The medium dark works as a contour for my face while the dark works as a bronzer. There are so many swatches and reviews all over the net so I didn't swatch them.

EDIT: the medium dark ended up looking almost perfect to close match with my skin tone so now I can use this for all over the face. I dunno about the dark, maybe during summer I'll get dark enough to wear it for all over the face.

MAC is soo expensive here in Australia. Works out to be a 220% mark up than in the U.S so I can't afford everything I like so even these two items cost a fortune. My poor poor wallet. Bless its soul. I have a giant wishlist I'm going to hand over to my unfortanate bf for Christmas /snickers.

I was cleaning out my make up stash and came by a few items I've neglected and forgot that I had. I bought these at David Jones with my friend Fifi who also got a pack for herself. Forgot when they came out but I couldn't see them in stock anymore. I think they cost about AUD35.00? That's just under AUD6.00 per pencil so not bad I suppose. I hardly even use them and bought them on impulse (bad ... bad). The pack comes with four eyeliners and two lipliners. I don't use lipstick so these will probably go towards my mum's stash.

Shiseido Accentuating color pencils:

They don't have individual names, just numbers.

Swatch:

I also noticed how much lipgloss I own. Horrible. Just horrible. These are mostly lipgloss and lipbalms I've accumulated over God knows how long. A few are lippies that I've hardly touched.

I also had a very bad Lancome juicy tube addiction where I felt I had to buy as many of the colors and flavors then swatched them and then put them away for good. The gift sets are from Duty Free purchases when I went overseas. Now they're just sitting there ... neglected and unused.

I've cleaned out some of my storage and placed the ones I'll be sending off to my cousins in The Philippines. Least they won't go to waste.

Out of the pile, the only ones I've liked and ended up using for more than a week are the following:

The Body Shop potted glosses:

My fave would be the 'Born Lippy' in mandarin and the guarana just coz I like the smell =D I found the guarana lipbalm has a grainy-feel to it when I apply it to my lips.

Nivea gloss sticks:

From top to bottom - pink grapefruit, cherry and pearl shine. The pink grapefruit goes on clear, cherry has a reddish tint and pearl and shine has shimmery pink pearl color.

Oralife peppermint lip treatment:

I use this daily. Especially when I got chicken pox for the second time from work two and a half years ago, I had a few pox on and around my mouth that the skin kept peeling again and again (gross). I found that this helped soothe the irritation because it contains a very small amount of chlorhexidine (antiseptic), just enough to heal the skin on my lips. I bought this at a pharmacy I use to work at and I've only seen it in peppermint flavour. Costs about AUD3.00.

Dunno bout you, but I feel guilty everytime I think about how much I've spent on just make up and I don't have as much compared to alot of beauty addicts I've seen out there /scary thought.

That's nice of you to send things to your cousins in the Philippines! :) I like your Juicy tubes and The Body Shop lip products.
